Abstract

Digital health, Hospital Information Systems (HIS), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and healthcare analytics are transforming the management, delivery, and evaluation of modern healthcare services. Digital health integrates technologies such as electronic health records, telemedicine, mobile health applications, wearable devices, and interoperable information platforms to improve accessibility, continuity, and efficiency of patient care. Hospital Information Systems facilitate the coordinated management of clinical, administrative, financial, laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, and patient-related information, supporting effective hospital operations and evidence-based decision-making. Artificial intelligence further enhances healthcare through machine learning, predictive modeling, clinical decision-support systems, medical imaging analysis, automation, and personalized care. Healthcare analytics converts large volumes of clinical and operational data into actionable insights for monitoring quality indicators, predicting patient outcomes, optimizing resource utilization, and improving organizational performance. This chapter discusses the principles, applications, benefits, and implementation challenges of digital health technologies, HIS, AI, and healthcare analytics.
